Born in 1972 Cameron, like many kids, was raised by a blue collar family, went to school, played with friends, and was generally an all around normal child. When she turned 16, she decided she wanted to be a star. To get there, she signed with a top modeling agency which took her to Japan where she met video director Carlos de la Torre. The two moved in together and she lived with him from age 17 to age 21. At 21, she auditioned for the movie The Mask (starring Jim Carrey) and won the lead female role even with no known previous experience (it was discovered later she starred in a softcore BDSM porn movie in 1992).
